This project-based course introduces students to the basic skills required for working with different types of materials.  Students gain an understanding of the characteristics of the different materials such as wood, metal, plastic and other synthetic materials used in industry.  The curriculum provides students with challenging problems that result in the design and manufacturing of variuos projects.  Variuos skills involving the safe use of hand and power tools are stressed.
