DHHS Book Club

Come to the next meeting of the the DHHS Book Club!  We meet on the first Tuesday of the month.  Periodically, interested students read to classes at Jeffrey School as well.

Governor's Summer Reading Challenge Award

This award honors public library / school library partnerships. Governor Jodi Rell, Betty Sternberg Commissioner of the State Department of Education, and Kendall Wiggin, Connecticut State Librarian presented awards at a ceremony on April 20, 2006. Awards of Merit were given to 5 districts around the state, and the award for the Outstanding Public Library / School Library Partnership was given to E. C. Scranton Memorial Library and the Madison Public Schools! We are thrilled to be recognized! Here are pictures from the ceremony:
